campfire

We had our first official campfire of the year last evening. It was a chilly day, one of those days when jeans and sweatshirts were a necessity to feel comfortable outdoors. It felt nice to have a bit of a chill on the back and the heat of the fire on the knees. It was ideal campfire weather.

Sergei ate with us and hung out for a while and then made an exit which explains my lack of photos of him (although the older they get, the less they want their picture taken anyway.) Sergei will be spending the next year up in northern Pennsylvania for some specialized schooling. He'll be leaving this week to start. It is a very good opportunity for him, and we would love all of your prayers for him as he embarks on this new chapter of his life. He'll be eighteen this September. It's amazing how fast time has gone since this...
